Do I have to edit anything?
No. Record your screen and rec4 produces the video automatically — voiceover or an on-screen AI presenter, smart zoom, jump cuts, and a clean stage. Everything it adds is still yours to tweak in the built-in editor if you want to.
Do I need to be on camera or record my own voice?
Only if you want to. Add an AI presenter to deliver your script on screen, or let an AI voiceover narrate it — no camera, no mic. Prefer to do it yourself? Record your own face and voice. It's your call, every time.
Is my screen recording private?
Recording and editing happen locally on your Mac — nothing is streamed to a server to capture. The optional AI features (voiceover, presenter) only send the script or audio you explicitly choose to generate.
What does it cost?
There's a free community tier to start. Pro ($9/mo) removes the watermark and unlocks 4K. Studio ($29/mo) adds AI voiceover, the AI presenter, and monthly AI credits.
Can I still fine-tune the result?
